Warm Green Salad


Fall Warm  vegan Salad


 


This salad is an outstanding recipe. Very easy and comes together in couple of minutes if you have all the ingredients all ready and assembled.

Ingredients you will need:

Any fresh greens you see at the market, I have used Baby Spinach, Mustard greens, beet greens, Swiss chard.

1-2 cups spinach

1cup mustard greens

1 cup beet greens

1 cup swiss chard

You can add couple more cups of spinach if you are serving a bigger crowd.

1 tsp lemon or lime juice

1tsp olive oil or any vegetable oil

1/2tsp unsalted butter

1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

6-8 cloves peeled garlic 

1/2 tsp chili flakes(optional)

Salt to taste


How to cook?

Take a thick bottom wide steel or iron skillet. Add oil and butter and garlic at the same time. Cook on low to medium heat till the garlic turns golden and rendors sweet aroma. Use a silicon spatula so you don't scratch the surface of the skillet. Stir the garlic well. Now add the turmeric and salt. Mix well. Now add your greens and chili flakes and lemon juice and mix well.

Cook till leaves are well wilted. Serve Warm with Bread or steamed rice or plain porridge.
