Coconut milk fish stew recipe







Ingredients: Any chunky body holding fish… used Mahi Mahi here Curry leaves 1 twig 1/2 of medium sized yellow onion 1/2 tsp red chili flakes 1/2 tsp whole cumin seeds 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp pink Himalayan salt 1/2 tbs lemon juice 1 can coconut milk 1 tbs chopped cilantro or green scallions 1 tsp any preferred edible oil 1 tsp chopped garlic Fish 4-8 one inch cubes.






  
Heat the pot well till it fumes, add the oil, onions, curry leaves, chopped garlic, turmeric, salt chili flakes and roast lightly atleast for 5-7 minutes. Add fish cumin seeds and lemon juice. Stir gently only twice. Now add the whole can of coconut milk with couple table spoons of water. Now put on the lid and cook the stew for 20 minutes.  

 Garnish with cilantro if preferred or green scallions. Serve with white steamed rice or have it as a soup with rice noodles.
